A Blossoming Spirit

I close my eyes,
letting the cool breeze fall,
softly across my face,
from the window I am leaning towards.

I am in another place now!

I see a vast green field,
The view of a beautiful sky
Stretching farther than my eyes can follow.
I walk towards the little path in front of me,
Walking freely
Through the field,
Touching the strands of grass.

I can touch it
I can feel it
This is no longer a dream
I am truly living it.
The walls that once surrounded me,
I no longer see them.

I am free. I am carefree.

I lie down among the flowers – pink, purple and yellow
Wanting to soak in the moment a bit more.
My face turned toward the sky;

I close my eyes,
Letting the cool breeze fall,
As I let the sunshine on my face.

I am in another place now.
The view of a beautiful ocean.
Stretching farther than my eyes can follow!
